Amendments

As a public charter school gains experience and develops its student body over time, its board may choose to apply to the authorizer for an expansion or other changes to the school model.

Most commonly, an amendment is a request to either increase the number of students enrolled in grades the school already serves or to add additional grades. However, amendments may also be needed to update key design elements, school structures, or other information in the school’s charter or performance certificate.
