IPCSC Procedures & Resources

The IPCSC maintains clear procedures and resources to support new applicants through the application process, help operating schools achieve strong outcomes, and keep the public informed. While the Commission’s primary role is oversight, commissioners and staff are committed to providing guidance and support whenever possible to ensure schools feel informed and supported throughout their work with the IPCSC.

New & Transfer Applications

Idaho law outlines the process by which the IPCSC reviews and acts on new charter school applications. IPCSC policies and procedures provide additional requirements and guidance to ensure applications meet statutory standards for quality, completeness, and compliance.

Reports & Timelines

Renewal Process

Idaho statute requires that all public charter schools in the state be periodically reviewed by their authorizer for the purpose of determining whether or not the charter school should continue operations. Public charter schools are considered for renewal at the end of their current performance certificate.
